Wilma Jean Green

Wilma Jean (Adams) Green was born on October 31, 1944 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Wilma Ward and Charles Alfred Adams. For the majority of her years growing up, Jean resided in Conroe, TX with her grandparents who loved and raised her. She passed away at home in Haslet, Texas on February 14, 2025 at the age of 80.

Jean lived a life of various interests and pursuits, but most of the time, you would find her doing things with friends and seeking out fun. She worked various jobs over the years ranging from an insurance office claims receptionist, to a veterinary assistant, to a demo specialist, to a homemaker. Along with her son, Tim, Jean loved shopping, going to the movies, eating out at different restaurants, and doing activities with her friend group. However, more than anything, Jean loved animals. Most of her life, she had dogs as pets. Her dogs were treated and loved like a family member, including her grand dogs. Although she wasn't much for sports, Jean did love bowing, and was a fairly proficient bowler in her younger days. She and her late husband actually met in a bowling league, and they continued bowling well into the early days of their marriage.

Family was important to her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul David Green; son, Timothy Paul Green; half-sister, Kathy Hammond; and son-in-law, David Glen O'Brien.

Wilma is survived by her daughter, Vicki O'Brien of Haslet, Texas; sister Tamara Bunce and husband, Ralph of Chandler, Arizona; sister Olive Hammond of Cushing, Texas; brother, Carroll Adams of Huntington, West Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Alpine Funeral Home located at 2300 N. Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76111. Graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Aurora Cemetery.
