Rhonda Sue Hinkens

March 14, 1970 — August 25, 2021

3-14-70~ 8-25-21 Rhonda Sue Hinkens, 51, gained her wings August 25, 2021. It was a very unexpected loss, leaving behind her three children and three grandchildren. She was born March 14, 1970 to Edwin and Dorothy Peterson. She attended Bloom Trail Highschool and went on to be a stay at home mom until being widowed in 2008. She married young and had three beautiful children to the late love of her life, Peter Hinkens. She enjoyed spending her time at Indiana Beach growing up and even carried on the tradition for her children. She spent lots of her time in the kitchen making special homemade meals that she learned so well from her parents recipes and even passed down to her children. When she wasn’t busy making her house a home with such things, she enjoyed camping and sitting by the fire just enjoying life and nature. She worked hard all her life to make sure her children were always put first and had a constant struggle with heart conditions that eventually took her life, even after enduring raising three children alone through pain and heartache. She is survived by her many siblings, Edwin Peterson, Michelle Hoskins (Rob), Terri Unruh (Raymond), Dawn Peterson (Will), and Tim Peterson (Sue) along with her many neices and nephews; her children Jason Hinkens (Stephani), Jamie Hinkens (Jaime), and Jeremy Hinkens; as well as her three wonderful grandchildren Aubrey Sue Hinkens, Aiden Petee Hinkens, and Ava Leigh Hinkens. She was a fighter in all senses and always put her children first, even if it meant she would go without. She will be greatly missed by all those she touched. She had a glow about her that no one could understand with her being put through so many trials and tribulations. She taught so many how to always move forward no matter what happens and her life lessons shes passed on will always shine through
