Patrick Walter McKinley

Patrick Walter McKinley was born on August 1, 1976 in Nashua, New Hampshire. He entered into God’s Kingdom on May 29, 2024 in Berlin, Connecticut at the age of 47. 

Patrick served our country in the United States Navy. He graduated from Old Dominion University. He worked as a field service engineer for 626. He was a devoted husband, father and friend. He enjoyed playing hockey with his kids, coaching hockey and rebuilding vintage Volkswagens in his spare time. He loved hanging out with his Whattever Car Club Familia and rarely walked away from a car show without a trophy. Off-roading in Amanda's jeep was his newest favorite past time through water, over rocks and trees teaching her what her jeep was capable of. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Fawn McKinley. 

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Amanda (Bowen) McKinley; son, Bobby Ethan “EZ” McKinley, son, Christian Caleb “Mickey” McKinley; daughter, Destiny Fawn McKinley; brother, Ken Tate and wife, Michelle; brother, Adam Davis; sister, Amanda Durrett; maternal grandparents, Maria and Brad Kuentz; father-in-law, Bobby Bowen and wife, Margaret; mother-in-law, Nancy Brown and husband, Lee; brother-in-law, Nathan Bowen and wife; Cristina; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of friends and chosen family.

A celebration of life was held at 4:00 P.M., Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Emmanuel Baptist Church located at 296 New Britain Avenue, Newington, Connecticut 06111. 

A celebration of life service will also be held in Texas at 3:00 P.M., Friday, June 21, 2024 at Genesis Church located at 5780 Virginia Parkway, McKinney, Texas 75071. 

A private interment will be held for the immediate family at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Patrick’s honor and memory be made to his children's tuition fund.
