Reno, Texas

Patricia Ann Poetzel, lovingly known as Patti or Patsy by her closest family and friends, passed away on July 19, 2023, in Reno, Texas. Born on September 5, 1935, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she lived a life filled with adventure and joy. Patti's passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends who cherished her vibrant personality and kind heart.

Patti's career as a travel agent allowed her to explore the world and create lasting memories. She was a true treasure hunter, bringing back not only beautiful rubies and sapphires from Bangkok but also priceless experiences that enriched her life. Her passion for travel was reflected in the stories she shared with her loved ones.

Though Patti was a successful professional, it was her role as a mother that brought her the greatest joy. She was known for throwing unforgettable parties and knew just how to create an atmosphere of celebration and happiness. During her children's teenage years, the family cherished their summer getaways at Lake Okauchee. These moments became cherished traditions that created lifelong memories.

Known for being loved by everyone she encountered, Patti had a bubbly and sarcastic personality that only added to her charm. Her kindness and loving nature endeared her to both humans and animals alike.

In addition to touching countless lives throughout the years, Patti leaves behind dear family members and friends who will forever keep her memory alive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hildegard Stapes and Eugene Biron, as well as her sisters, Mary also known as Mitzi (Biron) Dunn and Barbara Biron. The passing of her daughter, Jennifer (Jenny) Louise Poetzel also left a void in Patti's heart.

Patti's legacy lives on through her surviving daughter, Anne Elizabeth Denure, and son-in-law Sean Michael Denure. Their love for Patti will remain steadfast as they carry forward her spirit of adventure and kindness. Patti's dear four-legged companion, Puddy, was not just a pet but a beloved member of the family who brought her comfort and companionship.

Mitzi (Millard) Mackedon held a special place in Patti's heart as her best friend. Their bond served as a testament to the depth and strength of their friendship. Even though Patti is no longer physically with us, the memories they shared will forever remain cherished in Mitzi's heart.

As we bid farewell to Patti Ann Poetzel, let us remember the joyful moments she shared with us. Let her zest for life be an inspiration for us all to seek adventure, foster deep bonds with loved ones, and cherish the simple joys that make life truly worth living. May her soul find eternal rest, knowing that she made a meaningful impact on those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.
