Norman Steven Mejia

Norman Steven Mejia, age 61, passed away peacefully at home on September 26th, after living with ALS with grace and strength.

He is survived by his loving wife, Miranda Bellantoni; his siblings Cindi, Willie, and Jeannie Mejia; his nephew Tony Duda; his niece Danyne; and his godchild Sophia. He was predeceased by his brothers Ronnie and Allen. Born on December 24, 1963, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to the late Onesimo and Tomasita Mejia, Norman spent part of his childhood in Chile before moving to Keene, Texas, where he attended Chisholm Trail Academy. He then attended Texas Christian University, after which he pursued a career in nursing and later became a highly successful medical device sales representative, earning a master’s degree in business from Texas Women’s University along the way. 

Norman’s adventurous spirit led him and Miranda to Costa Rica, where they ran a hotel business together and embraced life’s new experiences. He treasured his life with Miranda, and their partnership was full of love, laughter, and shared adventures. An avid cyclist with a passion for the outdoors, Norman found joy in nature, in the company of animals and birds, and in the loyal companionship of his beloved dogs. His positivity was contagious, and he nurtured deep, lifelong friendships that enriched his life and the lives of those around him.

Faith in God was the cornerstone of Norman’s life. His trust in Christ provided courage, peace, and unwavering hope through his final months, and those who knew him will remember not only his kindness and love for family but also his steady and enduring faith in the Lord.

A Celebration of Life for Norman will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Lucas Funeral Home Chapel located at 518 SW Johnson Avenue, Burleson, Texas 76028. Arrangements are under the direction of Alpine Funeral Home.
