Maria Refugio Hernandez-Silva passed away peacefully in her home with her son Moises Zuniga and his wife Maryann Zuniga by her side on April 1st, 2026. Maria was born on July 26, 1934 in Solima, Coahuila México to Maria De La Luz Silva and Juan Hernandez. Maria was known for being a devoted catholic who attended church religiously, anyone who knew her knew her faith was a big part of her life. Some of the things she loved in life included dancing, cooking, playing bingo, cookies and of course her Coca-Cola. Maria married Moises Zuniga Rosales and had 7 children by the names of Yolanda Zuniga, Javier Zuniga, Eva Zuniga, Margarito Zuniga, Leonardo Zuniga, Ruth Zuniga, and Moises Zuniga. She spent her life working hard to clean homes to provide the best life she could for her children. Maria was a beautiful soul who brought happiness to everyone she met. Her kindness touched so many lives. She always had a warm smile and a kind word for everyone, and her presence made every family gathering feel special. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel and she will be forever missed. Viewing to be held at Alpine Funeral Home on April 8th, 2026 at 4-7pm. Church services will be held at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Church on April 9th at 10am.
