Mardigan “Mardy” Reyes Vastine
November 7, 1990 – April 1, 2026
Mardigan “Mardy” Reyes Vastine, born November 7, 1990, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Karen Gemillan Vastine and Antonio Lee Reyes, passed away at the age of 35 on April 1, 2026, in Oklahoma City.
Mardy was the kind of person whose presence could light up any room. He was the steady thread that held his family close, valuing connection over possessions and people over things. He had a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and valued, and his laughter was both contagious and comforting. Mardy lived in a way that left lasting impressions through kindness freely given, joy shared, and a genuine love for others that never went unnoticed.
Throughout his life, Mardy worked in a variety of fields, but he found his greatest sense of purpose as a Program Lead in the mental and spiritual healthcare field. Helping others wasn’t just something he did, it was who he was. Whether through his work or in everyday moments, he consistently showed up for people with compassion and authenticity.
In his spare time, Mardy enjoyed playing billiards, but nothing meant more to him than time spent with family and friends. Those moments, filled with laughter, stories, and simple togetherness, were what he treasured most.
Mardy is survived by his parents, Karen and Antonio, and his siblings: Cheren, Uche, Ryan, Cheyene, Ian, and Brianna, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and many cherished friends. His life also leaves a lasting impact on the countless individuals who were touched by his kindness and presence.
Though he will be deeply missed, Mardy leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and love; a reminder to hold one another close, to find joy in the everyday, and to carry forward the light he so freely shared.
