Manuela Sotelo Ochoa, 77, passed away February 19, 2026 surrounded by her loving family after fighting stage 4 metastatic breast cancer for almost 6 years.
Manuela was born June 24, 1948 to the late Julianna Nativida and Daniel Ochoa in Saucillo, Chihuahua. Manuela met her husband Francisco Sotelo in Arizona while visiting her daughter and moved to Fort Worth, Texas where she has been and will now forever lay.
Manuela was a homemaker all her life, she dedicated herself to raising her children while taking care of her home with some odd jobs in between. Jobs such as washing and delivering laundry in her hometown and later helping raise her grandchildren.
The best way to describe Manuela Sotelo is a big sour patch, sour on the outside but sweet and mushy on the inside. She could never see someone in need because she always felt compelled to help, she loved saying that God would repay her kindness. Manuela was a wonderful mother, always battling and working hard so that her children had what they needed. She loved keeping in contact with friends and family by making daily phone calls and speaking to whomever she was in the mood to conversate with. A large part of her life revolved around the Pentecostal Church, Valor y Fe. She was a godly woman who upheld her promises to God until the day he took her. She was a rock to her entire family and many people around her. She will be dearly missed but knowing that God has gained a warrior puts our hearts at rest.
Manuela is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Francisco Sotelo; dutiful daughters: Luz Elva Olivas & Carmen Janeth Olivas; valiant sons, Javier Olivas, Hector Olivas & Gonzalo Olivas. Along with her beloved fifteen grandchildren & two great grandchildren.
In honor of Manuela a visitation will be held from 6:00PM – 10:00PM, Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Iglesia Pentecostes Valor y Fe Church located at 1008 Miller Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76108.
A graveside service will be held 11:00AM, Friday, March 6, 2026 at Skyvue Memorial Gardens located at 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Road, Mansfield, Texas 76063.
Memorial funds were gained through the entire family putting money together to get Manuela Sotelo her eternal resting place. God help everyone who was able to donate anything to let the family know you were thinking of us in one of our darkest times, filled with much turmoil.
