Leopold was born to Leevorn and Jo Ann Walter in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by Leevorn (father), as well as his Step-Father, Orvil Shaw, and his brother Carlos R. Walter.
He is survived by his mother, Jo Ann Shaw, brothers Mark V. Walter, Lloyd C. Walter, sister Joan L. Shackelford (Bruce), and sons Dwight J. Banks Sr., and Bryce Walter. Niece Nicole L. Gambrell, Nephew Steven C. Shackelford. Grandchildren, Dwight J. Banks Jr., Destiny J. Banks, and Jazmine D. Banks, as well as one great-grandchild, Londyn Woodard.
Leopold enjoyed fishing, gambling, and watching movies with a good cup of coffee. He worked in the brick masonry field as well as a warehouseman. He loved to cook and spend time with family and friends, especially the grandchildren.
