Larry Glenn Moore

August 17, 1953 — January 20, 2022

Larry Glenn Moore “Papa”, rejoined his parents and siblings in Heaven on 20 January 2022 at 68 years old. Larry was born on 17 August 1953 in Glenn Rose to Bud Moore and Mattie Stewart. After being given 6 months to live, he fought for another three-and-a-half years. Larry Moore was an amazing father, grandfather, and best friend. Daddy was a carpenter all his life and could literally turn trash into treasure. He never ran out of jokes or stories to tell. Papa always enjoyed spending his time with his children and grandchildren. He was the undefeated champion of every game he ever played. Maybe it was because he stole all the dice or because he always had to keep track of the points. He never met a stranger, and all those he met couldn’t help but to love him. His children and grandchildren grew up listening to him strum on his guitar, as he would sing some of the most beautiful songs, you have ever heard, that he wrote himself. However, Papa was also a charter, he remixed many funny songs and would have everyone sit in a circle and sing along, his was most famous for his “Ding-a-ling song” if you never got to hear him sing it, you surely missed out. Larry is survived by the mother of his children Eva Moore, husband-in-law Carl Raner, daughters Margaret Moore, Mattie and (Kris Price), Latisha Stevens, son Dakota Moore, as well as his grandchildren Rachel McGee, Alyssa Fowler, Cecilia Moore, Katelynn Vaccarella, Ashlynn and Christian Spidle, Taylor, Austin, and Weston Price, and great-grandchildren Cameron and Gracelynn Stevens and many, many, friends that were like family especially the Modglings. Although he is gone to heaven, he will never be forgotten. He was a man of his word and would help anyone in need. He left behind such a legacy; he was the most caring, loving man you could ever meet. Although it hurts so bad during this time, we have one thing that we know for sure, now we are the ones, blessed by an Angel.
