With deep love and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Kenneth J. Chaisson, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who passed away on October 20, 2026.
Born on December 9, 1947, in Raceland, Louisiana, Kenneth was the cherished son of Thomas and Beatrice Chaisson. Kenneth lived a life grounded in love for his family, service to others, and pride in a job well done. He honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969, carrying with him a spirit of dedication and strength throughout his life.
For 58 wonderful years, Kenneth shared his life with his beloved wife, Tommie N. Chaisson. Together, they built a family filled with love and treasured memories. He was a proud father to Candie M. Chaisson, boyfriend Adam Creppel, and Michael J. Chaisson and his wife, Tanya Chaisson. His grandchildren, Clay and Cameron Ward, brought him immeasurable joy and pride. He also held a special place in his heart for his sister, Valarie Bruce.
Kenneth devoted more than four decades to Delta Container, where he earned the respect of his coworkers through his strong work ethic, dedication, and leadership. In retirement, he found happiness in the simple things: casting a fishing line into quiet waters, camping with those he loved, and spending time outdoors. He had a special fondness for animals and enjoyed caring for his son and daughter-in-law’s beloved farm animals.
Those who knew Kenneth will remember his infectious laughter, generous heart, and welcoming spirit. His kitchen was often the heart of a gathering, where his delicious Cajun cooking—especially gumbo and jambalaya—brought family and friends together. He had a way of making ordinary moments feel special, and the memories made around his table will be cherished for years to come.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Lucy Mae Pitre, whose memory he held dear. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, devotion, and love that will live on in everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
A celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held on October 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Alpine Funeral Home, 2300 North Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather in remembrance of a life well lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Blood Cancer United, an organization close to Kenneth’s heart.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated doctors and nurses at Texas Health Denton and Medical City Dallas for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time.
Kenneth’s love, laughter, and generous spirit will never be forgotten. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain with his family and friends forever.
