Jonathan James Morgan was born on May 10, 2009 in Burien, Washington. He passed away on June 8, 2025 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 16.
Jonathan truly loved going to school and looked forward to every ride there, especially when it meant listening to music along the way. He found great joy in dancing and embraced life with a cheerful spirit. Some of his favorite things included Mickey Mouse, the beach, and the ocean. A proud supporter of Texas A&M, Jonathan cheered on the Aggies in honor of his sister, who attends the university. More than anything, he loved calling his family and friends just to chat — those conversations were his favorite part of the day.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Enrique Santiago Soto; and uncle, Enrique Santiago Alvarez.
Jonathan is survived by his mother, Julia Santiago Morgan; father, Brian James Morgan; sister, Samantha Morgan; maternal grandmother, Alicia Alvarez de Santiago; paternal grandmother, Rhea Smarz; paternal grandfather, Jimmy Morgan; maternal aunts, Teresa Santiago, Betty Santiago, and Loly Santiago; paternal uncle, Scott Morgan; cousins, Michael, Makeila, Zylmara, Maya, Samuel; and numerous other cousins, and extended family members.
