"J.P." Jo Pat Garretson

Jo Pat “J.P.” Garretson was born on June 22, 1964 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Peggy Jo (Whitner) Hand and George Lavelle Hand. She passed away on July 3, 2024 in Bedford, Texas at the age of 60. 

J.P. was a spiritual person and was a very caring woman. She was employed at Home Depot and she really cared for her job and her work family. She liked scanning Pinterest and watch Ghost Adventures. Her most important role was being a mother and grandmother. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Waylon Ray Lelux; nephew, Jay Degenhardt, and son-in-law, Whittney Lelux. 

She is survived by her husband of almost 30 years, Gary Lee Garretson of Euless; daughter, Lissa Lelux of White Settlement; granddaughter, Averie Lelux of White Settlement; brother, Gary “Sparky” Hand of Fort Worth; sister, Rebecca Degenhardt of Houston; brother-in-law, Scott Garretson and wife Eileen of El Paso; sister-in-law, Katie Huerta and husband, Ray of El Paso; and numerous nieces and nephews.
