Jennie Gail Martinez

June 30, 1954 — February 14, 2026

Robinson, Texas

Jennie Gail Martinez, a lifelong Texan whose heart was as big as the state she called home, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026. Born in Fort Worth on June 30, 1954, Jennie spent her 71 years rooted in the values of family, loyalty, and a spirited approach to life.

Growing up in a bustling household with three sisters and two brothers, Jennie was the product of a large family. She carried that love for togetherness into her own life, always being "up for anything" as long as it meant spending time with her family. Whether it was a large gathering or a quiet afternoon, Jennie’s presence brought warmth and a sense of adventure to every occasion. She was known for her fun-loving nature and especially enjoyed settling in with a cold Dr. Pepper for a good horror movie, with a particular fondness for anything involving zombies.

Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Martinez; her daughter, Cindy Maggard; her three sisters; and one of her brothers.

She is survived by her son, Heath Maggard, and his wife, Jennifer; and her daughter, Felicia Barker, and her husband, Rex. She was a grandmother to Ashtoun, Alexis, Alisha, Caleb, Camden, Taylor, Hayley, and Wyatt, and a great-grandmother to five. She is also survived by her brother, several nieces and nephews, and her adored dog and constant companion, Princess.

Jennie found great interest in watching her family tree grow and seeing the new generations begin their own journeys. She will be remembered for her easy-going nature, her deep Texas roots, and her vibrant, ready-for-anything spirit. She lived life on her own terms, and her memory will be a blessing to those who knew her.
