Jacqueline Wakeham

October 27, 1966 — June 8, 2023

Azle, Texas

Jacqueline Wakeham was born on October 27, 1966 in Dallas, Texas to Sherrie (Rurak) and John Robert Wakeham, III. She passed away on June 8, 2023 in Kaufman, Texas at the age of 56 years old.

Jacqueline lived a life most wouldn't understand. But her heart was big.  She loved spending time with her grandkids: coloring with them, wrestling, swimming and even video chatting with them. There's nothing she wouldn't have done for them or her daughters. You could say she was a hot head but she truly had patience for those who might not have deserved it (including her daughters at times). Jacqueline was a mother, daughter, Grammy, and sister that was an important link to her family.

She loved going to the beach and always wanted to be in the mountains. She craved adventure (and Dr.Pepper). She will be missed more than she could have ever imagined.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Robert Wakeham, III.

She is survived by her daughters, Shannon Handy and husband, Jayson of Bedford, Stephanie Jarmon and husband, Alton of Azle and Brandi Pompa and husband, Isaac of Dickinson; grandchildren, D.J. Grisby, Elexia Warren, Malachi Warren, Aiden Jarmon, Aria Jarmon, Jay Jarmon, Alana Jarmon, Jeremiah Jarmon, Hunter Pompa, and John Ryder Pompa; Jacqueline is also survived by her beloved mother, Sherrie Wakeham of Athens; brother, John Robert Wakeham, IV and wife, Cathy of Athens; sister, Cindy Sanders and husband, Benjamin of Red Oak; brother, Jason Wakeham and wife, Deallina of Lumberton; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family member and a host of friends.
