In Loving Memory of Gary Lynn Baird
Gary Lynn Baird, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, in Burleson, Texas, surrounded by family and friends. Gary was born on July 23, 1953, in Homer, Louisiana, where the seeds of his deep faith and love for family first took root.
Gary is preceded in death by his loving parents, James (Jim) Baird and Patricia (Patsy) Williams, along with his grandparents, Lynn and Bema Luck, and grandmother, Lucile Baird, whose memories he carried with him throughout his life.
He is survived by his two sons, Jason Baird and wife Christi of New Boston, Texas, and Jeremy Baird of Burleson, Texas. He leaves behind two brothers, David Baird of Bossier City, Louisiana, and Pat Baird of Idabel, Oklahoma and grandchildren, Gage Baird of Dallas, Texas, and Jeremiah Baird of Azle, Texas, along with a host of other family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Gary dedicated much of his professional life to the field of pre-construction design, building a career marked by precision, creativity, and hard work. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and his adventurous spirit often found him riding motorcycles with his brothers and family.
Gary's faith was the cornerstone of his life. A long-time Christian, he held a deep, burning passion for God and sought to reflect the teachings of Jesus in all he did. He believed in serving others, offering kindness and support to family, friends, and even strangers, just as he believed Christ called him to do. Gary’s life was a testament to putting others first, living a life of service and compassion that will be remembered by all who knew him.
In honor of Gary’s wishes, the family will gather privately for a celebration of his life at a later date, reflecting on the many wonderful memories they shared and the lasting impact he had on their lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor Gary’s memory consider acts of kindness, a reflection of the generous spirit that defined his life.
