David Ray Wiggins

April 20, 1968 — August 23, 2023

Granbury

David Ray Wiggins born April 20, 1968, to Merlene Wiggins of Fort Worth.  He was called home August 23, 2023. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and love, David fought metastatic small cell carcinoma lung cancer. He fought hard , he never gave up but his body was tired.  David was a loving husband, devoted father of five, ever present and proud grandfather of nine, and not to mention completely wrapped around the finger of his great grandson, Maverick Dean. He also shared a special bond with his sister Lisa and his brother John.

David was an amazing man. He was the life of the party.  He was always ready to go on an adventure.  He never failed to have a Dad/Pawpa joke to share. Once he got going he could tell jokes all day.  He loved his family.  Not just his immediate family but his extended family as well. He loved having them around. Often they would congregate at his home to share a meal or just a conversation. If the game was on, you could bet he had it on. David enjoyed watching the Cowboys, the Rangers and his favorite the Dallas Mavericks.

David leaves behind his wife Hallie Marie Lee Wiggins, his five children Lisa and Ricky Armstrong, Sunnie and Nick Sobzack, Amamda and Wes Clark, John Ost and Hunter Wiggins, nine grandchildren and one great grandson, his sister Lisa and Robbie Thomas, brother John and Sheila Wiggins, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and his best friend Daniel Wayland.  He was preceded in death by his mother Merlene Hunter, his stepfather Sonny Brumbalow, his niece Ashley Wiggins, and his grandparents Laverne and Leo Hunter.
