Christopher Aaron Mitchell

October 10, 1974 — February 10, 2026

Christopher Aaron Mitchell, lovingly known as Chris, passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 51.

Born on October 10, 1974, in Fort Worth, Texas, Chris was the beloved son of Robbie Talley and Clyde Mitchell. He was raised in Fort Worth, where he built lifelong friendships and deep roots in the community he proudly called home.

Chris attended Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School, graduating in 1993. During his high school years, he was known for his talent and leadership. He played the tenor saxophone in the school band, proudly served as drum major, and was crowned prom king—an early reflection of the charisma, warmth, and spirit that would define him throughout his life.

As a child, Chris had a love for sports and could often be found playing baseball, football, and basketball. That passion for athletics stayed with him into adulthood as he became an avid fan of the Texas Rangers, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Fighting Texas A&M Aggies. Whether cheering from the stands or from his living room, he supported his teams with enthusiasm and loyalty.

Above all else, Chris’s greatest accomplishment and proudest joy were his five beautiful children: Scarlett, Hunter, Easton, Olivia, and Madison. He treasured every moment spent with them and found immense happiness in watching them participate in softball, baseball, cheerleading, and bowling. He was their biggest fan, constant protector, and steadfast supporter. His love for his children was unmatched and evident to all who knew him.

Chris was a loving and protective brother—sometimes to the playful irritation of his sisters—but always with a heart full of care. He carried his role as son, brother, father, and grandfather with deep devotion and pride.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robbie Talley and Clyde Mitchell; his grandparents, Harlond and Betty Dennis; and Lonnie and Evelyn Mitchell.

He is survived by his wife, Leticia; his children, Scarlett Gonzales, Hunter Mitchell, Easton Mitchell, Olivia Mitchell, and Madison Mitchell; and his granddaughter, Elliott Oliver. He is also survived by his father, Keith Talley; his sisters, Valerie Gierisch and Stacy Taff (husband Josh); his brother, Brian Talley (wife Tina); and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will forever miss his laughing smile and generous heart.

Chris will be remembered for his warmth, his protective nature, his unwavering love for his family, and the joy he brought into every room. His legacy lives on in the lives of his children and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
