Chester William Hurt

Chester William Hurt, 82 years old, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed on June 15, 2026. Chester was born in Doniphan, MO, on March 6, 1944, to his parents, Burly and Helen Hurt. Chester married Marilyn Mae in Peoria, IL. He went to work for Caterpillar Tractor (UAW) and owned his own Bicycle Shop in East Peoria, IL. Chester had several hobbies and interests throughout his life: cars, collecting, and fixing CB radios, electronics, bicycle repair, going to yard sales, and going out for breakfast daily. Chester and Marilyn often volunteered at the local Protestant church in the food pantry. One of Chester's greatest achievements was serving in the United States Army for 4 years.

Chester is survived by his children: Son, Troy Hurt and wife Kathi, Daughter, Patricia Thompson (Hurt) and husband David, Grandchildren, Tristan Hurt and Abigail Hurt.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Mae Hurt, Brother Jerry Hurt, and sister Kristine Krulac (Hurt).
