Carl was born on November 19, 1947, in Wheeler, Texas, to Margie and Jack Baxter, and later moved with his family to Fort Worth. He graduated from Boswell High School in 1966 and proudly served in the Marine Corps Reserve. On November 5, 1982, Carl married the love of his life, Corey. He retired from Chick-fil-A in 2013 and was most recently employed by the Texas Rangers Baseball Club and the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.
Carl had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fly fishing, hunting, and spending time in the mountains or at the beach. A true “grill master,” he found his greatest joy cooking for family and friends, with Sunday fundays being his favorite tradition. He was the best man, husband, dad, granddad and friend. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Margie and Jack Baxter, and his brothers, Jerry and Rick Baxter.
Carl is survived by his wife, Corey; his children, Carter (Kelsey) and Caroline; his grandchildren, Ryder, Rory, Nova, and Lilly; his sister, Jana; his brother, John; and many extended family members and dear friends.
