Becky Lynn (Banes) Haney was born on February 17, 1956 in Amarillo, Texas to the late Patsy Lou (Ashmore) and James Robert Banes, Sr. She passed away on November 25, 2025 in Azle, Texas at the age of 69.
Becky was born to be outdoors. She loved to go camping with her family and treasured lake and river trips where she loved to lay out and soak up the sun. She loved horses, music, watching racing and of course the Dallas Cowboys. Her true love was her husband and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Dale Jones and Garland Banes.
Becky is survived by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Edward Haney of Fort Worth; son, Eddie Haney and wife, Shanda of Weatherford; daughter, Brandi Haney of Fort Worth; and daughter, Natasha Haney of Venus; grandchildren, Brayden, James, Janessa, Jalexia, Chris, Cheyenne and Dakota; a great-granddaughter on the way, Nevaeh Lynn; and two other great grandchildren, Stella and Levi. She is also survived by her siblings, Debbie Holcomb and husband, Bob of Indiana; Sandy Byrum and husband, Tom of Michigan; Jim Banes of Amarillo, Texas; Teddy Jones of Wisconsin, Kenny Jones of Houston and Robert Banes and wife, Jennifer of Arkansas; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Williams and Lucas Funeral Home Chapel located at 517 N. Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76111. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Bethel United Methodist Cemetery located at 3196 Bethel Road Weatherford, Texas 76087.
