Archie Edgar Townley

Archie Edgar Townley was born on April 18, 1931 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to the late Myrtle Odell (Hobbs) Townley and Jesse Hale Townley. He passed away on July 7, 2024 at home in Fort Worth, Texas. 

He served our country in the Unites States Navy. He owned and operated Townley Trucking and was committed to his work. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers Fan. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Irene Townley; sisters, Eva Beaman and Janice Mosier. 

He is survived by his daughter, Margaret McInturff; son, Daniel Townley; grandchildren, Laura Bracken, Sandra Morehouse, Stacey Johanson, Tracey Clough, Brooke McInturff, Darcien Edwards, Jason Townley, Jeremiah Townley, Amber McCormick, Kathryn Burdette, David Stratton, Kayla Handy, and Melanie Browning; brother, Lyle Townley and wife, Betty; numerous great-grandchildren,  nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of friends. 

Visitation will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 12, 2024 at Alpine Funeral Home located at 2300 N. Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas with service following at 12:00 Noon. Graveside will be at 2:00 P.M., also on Friday at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville.
