Anna Mae Rita "Anne" Timpf passed away on the evening of November 3, 2023 at her home in Alvarado, Texas with family by her side.  She was 88.

Anne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother for nearly 68 years.   Fully devoted to her husband, 5 children and 23 grandchildren, she sustained an unceasing presence throughout their lives, coaching, instructing and sharing her wisdom and instinct with remarkable grace and ease.  A woman of faith, she was committed to the work of Jesus Christ and to her church, always giving of her time and talent, most often in the teaching and care of children. 

Born to Dorothy and William Boyd in 1935, Anne was the first of five children.  She grew up with her sister and 3 brothers in Van Dyke, Michigan (now Warren) where her father built the family home himself, even digging the basement by hand.  In May 1956, Anne married Ed Timpf, in Detroit, where they started their family, bringing up 5 boys before moving with the youngest four to Texas in 1980. Anne and Ed were just getting started.  They picked up in Fort Worth where they left off in Detroit, joining and supporting the church, and welcoming 23 new kids into the family over the next 43 years.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy (Brothers) and William “Buster” DeWitt Boyd, brothers William Boyd and Gerald Boyd, sister Barbara Venadam, granddaughter Alicia Timpf, and daughter-in-law Anne Marie Timpf.

She is survived by her husband Ed (George Henry) Timpf of Alvarado, Texas; her brother Michael Boyd and wife Shirly of Richmond, Michigan; her five sons, Daniel Timpf of Macomb, Michigan; Cal Timpf and wife Cindy of Burleson, Texas; Mark Timpf and wife Kimberly of Tucson, Arizona; Jonathan Timpf and wife Melinda of Fort Worth, Texas, and Nathan Timpf and fiancé April, of Richardson, Texas; grandchildren, Katherine "Kat" Timpf and husband Cameron, Elliott Timpf, Julia Timpf, Courtney Atkins and husband Mike, Carri Timpf, Cassi Clothier and husband Spencer, Cal Timpf II, Holly Timpf, Matthew Timpf and wife Kristen, Jeremy Timpf, Jason Timpf and wife Carly,  Carissa Timpf and fiancé Zayd Latheef, Lauren Timpf, Eliana Timpf, and Aubrianna Timpf; great grandchildren, Reagan, Peyton, Colton, Nolan, Emerson, Jacqueline and Easton.

 

Visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M. at Worth Baptist Church located at 4900 Campus Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76119.  Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 A.M. with interment at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
