Larry David Laney, 70 years old, was born August 8th, 1950 and passed away Monday May 17, 2021 at Hollymead in Flower Mound Texas. Larry was survived by his loving wife Theresa Laney of 48 years in Haltom City, Texas. Born in Hico Texas Larry was the oldest son to Marland B. Laney and Anne Marie Laney.  Larry was a truck driver for over 25 years.   He was a member of Mid-Cities Baptist Church for many years and loved his church family. He was the choir leader for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family fishing on the weekends, coaching his daughter's softball teams and camping in Broken Bow in Oklahoma on vacations.  He was a very humble, patient gentleman. He enjoyed telling cute and funny jokes to bring happiness and joy to everyone he met. He never knew a stranger.  He loved Jesus and was not afraid to share his faith with others. He was a devoted loving husband that would do anything to make his wife Theresa happy. Larry was the best Daddy to his two daughters. Always teaching them even in their adulthood.   He was preceded in death by his Father Marland B. Laney, Mother Anne Marie Laney, Sister Brenda and Brother Ricky.   Larry was survived by his loving wife Theresa Laney, Daughter Amanda/ Husband, Jason Burnham of Saginaw Texas, Daughter Jennifer/ Husband, Victor Mejia of Arlington Texas. Granddaughter Pricilla Laney/ Husband, Matt Spearman of Fort Worth. Grandson Cody Burnham, Granddaughter Allison Burnham and Grandson Sebastian Mejia. One Great-Grandson Christian Spearman. Larry was loved by many for his kind heart and will truly be missed and remembered by many.   The Memorial will be held Monday May 24th at 1:30 at Mid-Cites Baptist Church. Located at 5314 Broadway Avenue, Haltom City Texas 76117.   “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” -Isaiah 41:10   “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
